Close your DDPay account

Closing your account signs you out everywhere and permanently disables it — you can't undo it. Here's exactly what happens to your data, and the two ways to request it.
Closing statement
Sign-in: password, passkeys, two-step verification
Removed now
Profile details: name, photo, preferences
Removed now
Identity verification (KYC) records
Kept 5 years, then anonymized
Transaction and transfer history
Kept 5 years, then anonymized
Ledger balances
Anonymized, never deleted

Financial and identity-verification law requires payments platforms to keep certain records for years after closure. That's not a DDPay policy choice — it's how every regulated wallet has to work.

  1. 01

    You can sign in

Open the DDPay app, go to Settings → Privacy, and choose "Close my account." You'll need a zero balance, and you'll confirm by typing your account email. It takes a few seconds.

Want a copy of your data first? The same Settings → Privacy screen has a "Download my data" button.

  2. 02

    You can't sign in

Email us from the address on your account and tell us you'd like it closed. We verify it's really you before we act, to keep anyone else from closing your account for you.
